Ken Grime/ Ramon Hendrickx

Dr. Ken Grime
Ken studied for his PhD in protein biochemistry, enzyme regulation and reaction kinetics at The University of Birmingham in the UK and subsequently worked at Servier Research & Development’s UK research facility for seven years. Since 2001 Ken has worked in AstraZeneca’s Respiratory and Inflammation research labs in the UK and Sweden as DMPK project lead and in Project Leadership roles in pre-clinical projects, supporting many projects successfully through to clinical development. Ken has to date authored / co-authored over thirty papers and book chapters and is currently Senior Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics in AstraZeneca’s Respiratory Inflammation and Autoimmune disease innovative biotech unit in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ramon Hendrickx
Ramon studied for his MSc in chemistry at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and continued with a PhD in physical organic chemistry at the University of York in the UK. He subsequently worked at the Lund site of AstraZeneca in Sweden for seven years starting as a physical chemist within DMPK department where he developed into a DMPK project lead towards the end. Since 2010 Ramon has joined AstraZeneca’s Respiratory and Inflammation research labs in Mölndal, Sweden, as associate principal scientist in the Modelling and Simulation section, supporting the delivery of two CSID’s. Besides project work, Ramon is currently involved in modelling lung pharmacokinetics and subsequent pharmacodynamics after inhalation of beta agonists and muscarinic antagonists.
